      BBC Three - TORCHWOOD - spinoff series - it's coming soon ...

BBC 7 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7 and Big Finish
http://www.doctorwho.co.uk are producing a series of 50 minute
Doctor Who radio dramas starring Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor. They
will begin airing at new years. Sheridan Smith will play new
companion Lucie Miller. These stories will be set sometime after the
Big Finish 8th Doctor audios with Charley Pollard, some of which are
      currently rerunning on BBC7.
      The stories:
Blood Of The Daleks (2 episodes)
      Horror Of Glam Rock
      Immortal Beloved
      No More Lies
      Human Resources (2 episodes, Cybermen)

NHK Satellite station BS2 brings Doctor Who to Japan starting this
Monday 25 September. The first four episodes will air Monday to
Thursday at 10PM. Starting 3 October, Doctor Who airs weekly at 10PM
Tuesday. It is expected that both Series 1 and 2 will air.

"The Sarah Jane Adventures" are coming to UK television screens in
2007. A one hour pilot will air early in 2007 with more episodes
going into production next year. Elisabeth Sladen will return as
Sarah Jane Smith in this spinoff series, with K9 making a cameo in
the pilot episode. Yasmine Paige will play Sarah's 13 year old
neighbour Maria. It is believed that the series will take place at a
point in time after the Doctor Who episode "School Reunion".

"The Sarah Jane Adventures" is being made for CBBC, with episodes
expected to air on BBC One's CBBC programming block and on the CBBC
Channel (same frequency that BBC Three inhabits at night). It will
be aimed as a more children oriented fantasy thriller, with Doctor
Who as the "family" show and Torchwood as the "aimed at adults" show.

UKTV Australia http://www.uktv.com.au will begin airing Doctor Who
series 1 on Sunday 1 October.

US SciFi http://www.scifi.com begins its run of Doctor Who Series 2
on Friday September 29 at 8PM EDT with a 2 ½ hour premiere (The
Christmas Invasion and New Earth). Only 16 days to go now. BBC
America will begin a run of Series 1 on Tuesday November 21 at 10PM

UK's BBC Three http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree and UKTV Gold are doing
repeat runs of the new Doctor Who. BBC Three airs Series 1 and 2
weeknights at 7PM BST. UKTV Gold repeats Series 1 weeknights at 6PM
& 2AM. UKTV Gold + 1 airs the UKTV Gold schedule 1 hour later, so if
you want to see the episodes on both UKTV Gold and BBC Three, catch
the early evening showing on the main Gold instead of + 1. At the
moment the repeat runs on both channels end on Friday 29 September,
with new programming taking over on Monday 2 October.

No word on when/if Series 2 is reaching Italy, but Italian viewers
get to see Series 1 again starting Sunday 24 September at 8:10PM
CET. Jimmy http://www.jimmy140.it will air episodes multiple times
each week. Tune in for at least one of these broadcasts, or you
      won't see the show:
      Sunday 8:10PM
      Monday 11:20PM, 3:35AM
      Friday 5AM
      Saturday 7:15AM, 5:10PM

Israel station Yes Stars is repeating Series 1 beginning this
Thursday at 8:05PM, with 2 repeats on Fridays. The advertising on
Yes Stars also shows that they have purchased the rights to Series 2.

MPT http://www.mpt.org pulled the Doctor Who story scheduled for
September 16 with little notice to make room for a Greatful Dead
concert. "The Sontaran Experiment" has been rescheduled for Saturday
      September 23 at 11:55PM (BTW, if you watch MPT's comedies - they're
all starting 5 or 6 minutes early this week). Revenge Of The
Cybermen has moved back to September 30. MPT tends to redo their
Saturday schedule with little notice - if you're planning to record
Sontaran Experiment, check their website Friday evening in case of
      further changes.

To simplify the listings for people looking for "new" Doctor Who in
their area, only broadcasters that are airing Series 2 (with David
Tennant) or new to their country episodes are going to be in the New
Series section. Broadcasters that are just airing repeats of Series
1 at this time are being moved to the other Doctor Who broadcasts
section (with all the previous Doctors). The new Paul McGann audios
will be in the new series section when they premiere on BBC7, moving
to the other section for future repeats. Series 2 will move to the
other Who section sometime after Series 3 premieres in the UK.

The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media
http://www.c21media.net often announce when a Doctor Who
international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case.
