The 24 June premiere of "Fear Her" on BBC One had overnight ratings
of 6.64 million viewers, 39.7% of the audience watching TV at the
time. The final ratings for "Love And Monsters" on 17 June was not
out when the column went to press.

Series 2 is winding down in the UK - Army Of Ghosts on 1 July and
Doomsday on 8 July (6:45PM special start time) will complete the
run. Spoilers are flying around all over the place - by all accounts
it will be an emotional ending just like Series 1 last year.

Early notice - kids tie in show "Totally Doctor Who" will air on BBC
Two instead of BBC One on Thursdays 29 June and 6 July due to
      special programming.

BBC Three http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree will repeat all of Series 2
from 3 to 7 July to catch viewers up and help the finale. The

Mexico and the Latin American countries are now seeing Series 1.
People + Arts http://tupeople.com/_home/index.shtml is the channel
to look for on your cable/satellite system. Based on the website,
episodes premiere at 10PM Friday, with repeats at 3AM Friday, 7AM
Saturday, 10PM + 3AM Wednesday. It is unclear which time zone the
listings are based on. The website is written in Spanish. People +
Arts is run by Discovery Networks and BBC Worldwide Americas - it is
apparently not related to the People + Arts channel in Spain &

Finland viewers finally get Doctor Who this September. YLE2
http://www.yle.fi/tv2 premieres Series 1 on Sunday 10 September at
8:05PM CET. Thanks to Outpost Gallifrey for spotting this

ABC Australia http://www.abc.net.au/tv will NOT be repeating Series
1 (the 2005 episodes). They have sold their option to air repeats of
Series 1 to UKTV Australia http://www.uktv.com.au to help fund the
purchase of firstrun rights to Series 2 (Christmas Invasion and the
2006 episodes). UKTV's FAQ notes that they will add the new Doctor
Who to their lineup in October 2006. ABC begins Series 2 on Saturday
      8 July at 7:30PM.

Spain + Portugal see the end of repeats on People + Arts
http://www.plus.es/codigo/default.asp for now. Last episode is
Father's Day, repeating late Sunday 2 July at 1:30AM CET.

If you get CBC Canada's HD feed, be aware that it is not currently
presented in all time zones. If you live in a time zone without the
HD feed, you will get one from the nearest available timezone. Hence
programming on the HD feed (like Doctor Who) may air at the same
time, an hour earlier, or later than the normally advertized time on
the analog schedule depending on where you live.

US fans may have noticed that online programming guides for SciFi
http://www.scifi.com list the 8 episodes in the Wednesday 5 July
marathon (8AM to 4PM EDT) and the 16 and 23 July 11PM episodes are
labeled as Doctor Who (David Tennant, Billie Piper). This is an
error - they are actually repeats of Series 1 (starring Christopher
Eccleston) which SciFi has already aired - episodes are listed later
in the column. The weeknight repeats of Stargate SG-1 in July have
the same problem - episodes from the first 7 seasons are being
listed as new episodes with the current cast. While it is believed
that SciFi will air Series 2 at some point (some sources claim that
SciFi has already bought Series 2 - SciFi hasn't said anything),
they are not going to premiere any new drama at 8AM in the morning.
If/when SciFi buys and schedules Series 2, it will be in primetime
and we will have advanced notice. SciFi will not be airing any
episodes in August - this should not be taken as a decision on
renewing or not renewing the show.

The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media
http://www.c21media.net often announce when a Doctor Who
international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case.
