A BBC press release has revealed that Doctor Who (and many other BBC
shows) have been sold to the new Greek over the air station SKAI.
The channel will launch on 1 April. The full story is at:

The part about Doctor Who says:
"BBC Worldwide announced today at BBC Showcase that it has concluded
a two-year agreement with SKAI, the new Greek terrestrial television
channel launching on 1 April 2006, to televise over 500 hours of
drama, factual and news and current affairs programming.

"The titles range from dramas such as Spooks and Doctor Who to
documentaries, including Seven Wonders of the Industrial World,
Space Odyssey - Voyage to the Planets and three history titles
looking at the Ancient Wonders of Jerusalem, Greece and the Holy
      Land."

Congratulations to Greek TV viewers. Hopefully SKAI will be a
channel that is easy to receive. Since the channel has yet to
launch, it is too soon to guess when Doctor Who may start airing in
      Greece.
