      THIS WEEK IN DOCTOR WHO
      October 12, 2005 - Vol 8, No 41
The weekly guide to Doctor Who broadcasts worldwide.
      by Benjamin F. Elliott
      http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thisweekindoctorwho

      Wednesday 12 October:
NRK 2 Norway - 8:05PM - Doktor Who: Tilbake Til Fortiden
      Friday 14 October:
BBC Three - 9PM - Doctor Who: The Parting Of The Ways (repeat)
BBC Three - 9:45PM - Doctor Who Confidential Cut Down: The Last
      Battle (repeat)
      Saturday 15 October:
BBC Three - 8:35PM - Doctor Who Confidential (full length): The Last
      Battle (repeat)

A quiet week as we wait for November schedules to emerge for France
4 and Canal Jimmy in Italy. Schedules that should have the premiere
of the new Doctor Who in those countries, bringing it to new fans.
If your network has bought the new series and is not represented in
this column, please let me know ASAP.

KTEH 54 http://www.kteh.org in San Jose, CA has purchased the
Mythmakers documentary "Mythmakers: William Hartnell" to air on
November 23 at 7PM PST to celebrate Doctor Who's 42nd anniversary.
Right now Doctor Who is not being offered to public TV stations, and
only remains on the 2 stations (MPT http://www.mpt.org and IPTV
http://www.iptv.org ) whose contracts have not expired. I have a bad
feeling that BBC Worldwide Americas will not try to sell the
original series again until they have a deal on the new series.
      Whenever that is.

The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media
http://www.c21media.net often announce when a Doctor Who
international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case.
