Those of us in the US who stay up late or know how to set VCRs - the 1996
Doctor Who TV Movie is airing here on the US Sci-Fi Channel late Sunday June
15th at 1AM EDT East Feed / 1AM PDT West Feed.

KBTC Tacoma, WA http://www.kbtc.org/ is airing a Doctor Who pledge special
on June 7 from 7 to 10PM, featuring The Three Doctors.

While I try to keep the column up to date, I do sometimes miss late changes
to schedules. If you see TWIDW's information getting out of synch with what
your local station is actually airing, let me know ASAP.

Additions and corrections are welcome at

On the planet Karn, a Mad Scientist, madder religious priestesses, a
downright angry manservant, and a 'Patient' whose anger makes all the rest
of them look like members of the Legion Of Sanity, all pose problems to the
      4th Doctor and Sarah.

A dangerous plant plots world domination, ushering in an age where all
'meat' creatures are devoured. Only John Steed and Emma Peel can save the
day. Unfortunately, they're not available. Would U*N*I*T mind terribly much
if the 4th Doctor and Sarah were loaned over to investigate the situation?

Weekdays 4:40PM CET "Tom Baker episodes with Polish subtitles" ??
TELE 5 ran 26 Tom Baker episodes last year, and has been rerunning them on
weekdays for the last few weeks. Their website is of little use in
determining which stories are airing, and the episode order was largely
random, so seeing part 4 of, say, The Brain Of Morbius, would give you no
clue as to what the next story would be. The link to their schedule is now
      down.

I was at a Doctor Who meeting just this week and we discussed a scenario
much like this one (a different Who story). If you think your brother is an
evil madman who must be locked away forever, and assuming that you do not
intend to kill him to ensure he remains gone, why bother providing him a
means to escape? If you provide an escape route, someday he will find a way
to use it. Perhaps you could put a killer booby trap in the escape mechanism
as a cruel joke of false hope. But an escape route? I can only conclude that
the folks who locked Sutekh away are just as evil as Sutekh is. Certainly
just as sadistic. And their calculated move gives Sutekh the chance to
escape in 1911 and endanger the Earth.
Fri "The Android Invasion" pts 1+2 of 4
What happened to the people of Earth? Why are the trees made of fake wood?
And when is a suicide not a suicide?
      Sat "Underworld" all 4 pts
The 4th Doctor and Leela join the mission of Jackson and his heroic crew of
sicophants, hoping to relaunch the only civilization stupid enough to use
Time Lord technology to wipe themselves out of existence.
Sun "The Invasion Of Time" all 6 pts (no 3:30AM rerun)
This is an epic tale of love and betrayal. Death and hope. Lead and jelly
babies. The 4th Doctor's wildest plan yet is executed as he becomes
President of Gallifrey. It's one Presidency the planet will never forget.
Mon "The Android Invasion" pts 3+4 of 4
The truth revealed, the 4th Doctor and Sarah race to warn humanity of
danger. Harry Sullivan and RSM Benton appear for the final time.

Channel numbers in brackets ( ) indicate a digital station that is not on
the air. All stations currently airing Doctor Who that do not have digital
transmitters on the air have received wavers from the FCC giving them till
November 1, 2003 to go on the air. Low power stations do not currently have
      digital assignments.

Robot episode 4 should air next.

Advisory - pledge night. Programming could start late. MPT is known for
changing Doctor Who's start time at the last minute, as viewers have
observed for the last few weeks when Independent Eye ran over-length. Two
things are certain in life - death and taxes. Looks like Varos doesn't have
a lot of taxes. But it has plenty of Death.

Looks like KBTC aired the first half of Battlefield last week after all. The
7th Doctor, Ace, and the Brigadier must stop Morgaine and her followers from
setting off a nuclear missile. The Arthurian legend as never seen before.
Sat 7-10PM PDT "The Three Doctors" all 4 eps
Pledge special. A mysterious force operating within a black hole attacks the
3rd Doctor and endangers the Time Lords' home planet. The solution - send
the 2nd Doctor forward in time to meet himself and provide assistance. When
that doesn't work either, it's time to send in the 1st Doctor. With three
versions of the Doctor at work, it can only mean one thing. The universes
      are doomed.
