THIS WEEK IN DOCTOR WHO - March 26, 2003
      by Benjamin F. Elliott
      Vol 6, No 12

Welcome to the weekly guide to Doctor Who broadcasts worldwide.

'Slipback', the 1985 radio story with Colin Baker as the 6th Doctor, will
make its first appearance in This Week In Doctor Who since the column began
in 1998. On 29 and 30 March, BBC Radio 7 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/ will air
a 2 part version of Slipback in the Science Fiction timeslot. Slipback
originally aired as 6 10 minute episodes. Part 1 will air at 6PM and
Midnight UK Time on 29 March, while Part 2 will air at 6PM and Midnight UK
Time on 30 March. BBC Radio 7 can be heard on digital radios and TVs in the
UK, while the rest of the world can listen in RealAudio on the BBC's
website. Warning - the UK and much of Europe switches to Daylight Savings
Time on 30 March, and much of the Southern Hemisphere switches from Daylight
to Standard Time. The US and Canada don't switch till 6 April. If you want
to listen to Slipback and you are not in a part of the world that switches
to Daylight Savings Time on 30 March, you'll have to pay attention to the
time change to make sure you know when to tune in for part 2.

Dallas, TX Doctor Who fans will be pleased to know that KERA 13/K44FI 44 has
Doctor Who back on their schedule Late Fridays at 12:30AM effective Friday
April 11, with the Peter Davison stories airing in movie format.

While I try to keep the column up to date, I do sometimes miss late changes
to schedules. If you see TWIDW's information getting out of synch with what
your local station is actually airing, let me know ASAP.

      at all.)

Late Fri 1:15-3:50AM, Sat 6:30-9AM GMT "The Time Monster" movie
The Master may finally have found true love while on a quest to take control
of an Atlantean Crystal which alters the fabric of time. Slight problem -
she's married to a King. And I don't think the 3rd Doctor and Jo would be
willing to be witnesses at a marriage ceremony anyway. Fans of Sgt. Benton -
this is the story where he finally gets the drop on a villain. Prepare to
cheer, if only for a moment.
Late Sat 2:45-4:25AM BST (1:45-3:25AM GMT), Sun 7:15-9AM BST "The Three
      Doctors" movie
Gallifrey has been crippled by a powerful force emanating from a Black Hole.
Only one Time Lord can be called upon to help. Unfortunately, the Time Lords
erased part of his memory and trapped him on an intergalactic backwater with
no working TARDIS. And the same force is out to get him. But what if The
Time Lords could get help from another version of the man from *before* they
messed with his mind? Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell (in his final
acting appearance) return to launch the 10th series of Doctor Who.
