      by Benjamin F. Elliott

      Date to be Announced:

The upcoming new Doctor Who radio stories on BBC 7 starring Paul
      McGann (beginning 31 December 2006):
Blood Of The Daleks (2 episodes)
      Horror Of Glam Rock
      Immortal Beloved
      No More Lies
      Human Resources (2 episodes, Cybermen)

CBC http://www.cbc.ca/television has its long awaited premiere of
Doctor Who series 2 this Monday at 8PM all time zones (8:30PM
Newfoundland). CBC is starting with New Earth, as The Christmas
Invasion aired on CBC on 26 December 2005. Episodes will be
letterbox on the analog CBC and anamorphic widescreen (not High
      Definition) on the HDTV channel.

Prime http://www.primetv.co.nz and ABC http://www.abc.net.au/tv air
part 2 of the 2 part finale of Series 2 this weekend (Doomsday). No
repeats are scheduled at this time - new programming next week.

WCET (aka CET Cincinnati) http://www.cetconnect.org welcomes Doctor
Who back to their schedule this Saturday at 10:30PM EDT. 2 25 minute
episodes a week, starting with the beginning of Robot. WCET was one
of the stations that lost the rights to Doctor Who when BBC
Worldwide Americas was trying to market the new series to the United
States and wasn't renewing contracts for the old series. If you have
a public TV station that is preparing to add Doctor Who back to its
lineup, let us know. Currently - Maryland Public TV, WCET Cincinnati
OH, Iowa Public TV, and KBTC Tacoma, WA.

Finnish Doctor Who fans get some Peter Cushing fun on TV2 the next 2
weeks. 6 October 10:45PM - "Doctor Who ja dalekit" (Dr. Who & The
Daleks). 13 October 10:45PM - "Doctor Who ja dalekian invassio"
(Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.). I don't know if the films will
be dubbed or subtitled. TV2 is the Finnish broadcaster currently
premiering Series 1 of the new Doctor Who.

UK's BBC Three http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree is doing a repeat run
of the new Doctor Who. BBC Three airs Series 2 weeknights at 7PM
BST. No confirmation on the premiere date for spinoff series
Torchwood yet, which will premiere on this channel. Some people are
reporting Sunday 22 October at 10PM BST - hopefully we will know

UKTV Gold aired "The Claws Of Axos" early Sunday morning 1 October
without prior notice, replacing an episode of The House Of Elliot.
The Doctor Who TV Movie will air on 15 October at 7:15AM. Series 2
will have its UKTV premiere in a weeklong event from 23 to 29
      October - nightly at 7 & 8PM BST with repeats at 3 & 4PM BST the
next day. The Christmas Invasion will *not* air as part of the
Series 2 premiere. Specific days and times in the main listings. A
couple of readers with Digiguide have mentioned that UKTV Gold has
some classic Doctor Who scheduled in November, with Genesis Of The
Daleks and some Jon Pertwee stories coming up. I don't have firm
information on stories and times yet. All times one hour later on
      UKTV Gold + 1.

SciFi http://www.scifi.com has made some updates to their schedule
for Series 2. Episodes will now air Fridays at 8PM and Midnight
Eastern Time (8PM and 1AM this Friday October 6), to allow
Battlestar Galactica to air at 9PM and 11PM. No Sunday repeats this
time through. Episodes are currently scheduled through November 17,
with SciFi's annual Thanksgiving weekend movie marathon pre-empting
the show on November 24. If SciFi airs the episodes in order, this
would leave a 2 week gap between The Impossible Planet (part 1 of 2)
and The Satan Pit (part 2 of 2). Episode titles for November are not
up yet. There will be an 8 hour Doctor Who marathon on Thursday
November 30 from 8AM to 4PM Eastern - no episode titles listed yet,
though I would expect it to be New Earth through The Impossible

Maryland Public TV http://www.mpt.org aired Revenge Of The Cybermen
exactly when its online listings advertised - 11:59PM to 1:37AM. So
if you set your timer manually, you got the show. Some services
(notably DirecTivo) never adjusted for the right time. Doctor Who is
scheduled to start at 11:59PM again this weekend, so set the timer

The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media
http://www.c21media.net often announce when a Doctor Who
international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case.

Corrections and updates are welcome at thisweekindoctorwho-
owner@yahoogroups.com , TWIDW on AOL IM , and thebfe on Yahoo
      Messenger. The listings:
