      saw speedranch+jansky noise sat:
i'm quite ambivalent about noise music per se
like the rush; wouldn't let it into the house kind of thing
      any way
the overriding aesthetic was of speed
      rather than noise like watching
the boundary of the motorway whizz past
      the passenger window
rather than being pelted by driving rain on top of a mountain
analogy holds when you consider that the music although
in hyperdrive in its progression (horizontal)
      adheres to a very stable
      construction (vertical)
(basically b(d)um da-da dum with fragments of interesting sound circling around
      - like vultures contemplating the flogged horse)
      and about as involving
on one hand it could be like listening to aural sludge
on the other there seems to be just enough detail
      to sustain repeated/detailed listening.
The attrition effect of the fleeting music was tempered by
      sustained volume/pace
lack of significant incongruity/deviation from central rhythm
      not many extraneous frequencies
though to be honest i wouldn't have cared
that much if they were present
just made it less jarring than
      i was prepared for
      a positive outcome
      everything in the morning
felt so soft and fresh and
      lovely
though i won't be buying the album
to have that effect more often
      (there's more delicate/involving music
that i'd prefer to listen to the detail in)
dj set by :zoviet*france: was great
      fluid twirling arabesques with impregnations
of breakbeat noise now & then.
