A spectacular fund-raising gala concert, Live To Air
is also a vast live radio show that showcases just a
few aspects of Resonance's extraordinary output as it
gears up to apply for a five-year licence. A list can
only hint at the pleasures on offer, but here goes...
The Resonance Radio Orchestra premieres a new radio
opera, Who Knows? based on the horror story by Guy de
Maupassant. Pianist John White plays furniture music
by Erik Satie, Bridget Nichols talks bees. Simon
Munnery returns triumphant from his stand-up stint at
the Edinburgh Festival. Prodigious new rock band The
Noisettes play live - catch them here first. Fresh
from its CMN tour, The Feedback Quartet play extreme.
DJ 2Tall puts the turntables through their paces while
Kevin Sheils presents the best of London's folk
musics. Frank Key reads lopsided prose, numberless
special guests make an appearance. MC is audio
prankster Richard Thomas. Numerous guest DJs, special
appearances, pre-recorded weirdness, real ale bar,
product stall, installation by Alexander Wendt... an
event like no other. Listen live or better still come
along and be part of it.

'The best radio station in London.' The Guardian
'Lock the dial on 104.4 FM and leave it there.' The
      Evening Standard
'An ad-free oasis of sonic experimentation and audio
      art.' Dazed and Confused
'A loosely structured laboratory for artists of all
      kinds to reimagine what
      radio can be.' Artforum
'A glorious experiment that everyone in the country
      deserves the chance to
      hear.' The Independent
'A London radio station currently rewriting the rules
      of mainstream
      broadcasting.' Metro
'Less talking about the arts, and more of the art
      itself.' The Daily Telegraph
'Less a radio station than a living art installation.'
      Harpers & Queen
