A Multi-Media Event in a unique building...
Salford Artists Collective present SalfordCentric, an hour-long
performance that takes you through 24 hours of Salfordian life.
The event features music performances from various groups,
accompanied by a collage of video, photography and visual art.
The venue is St. Philips Church, on St. Philips Place, Chapel Street,
Salford (in between the old Salford Royal Hospital and the
St.Philip's Church was built in 1825 by the architect Sir Robert
Smirke, who designed part of the British Museum. The Church has often
been used for musical recording and performance. Its Renn organ is
the finest example of its kind and has been used regularly by the BBC
and the Royal Northern College of Music.
Big Block 454 will be performing their piece "An Evening at Blank
Frank's Bun Factory" in conjunction with the Les Howarth film of
the same name.
