      i read an other interview with matt saying that one day, william parker
      accidently worked 'frere jacques' into his solo at a show. they had a laugh
      about it afterwords and joked around about recording it. shipp then began
      playing it in his solos as sort of an inside joke and everytime, the
      audience loved it so they decided to actually record it. i will ask him
      about mahler's symphony 1, though. i let you know what he says. thanks for
      the question!
