Two members of the trio San Augustin -- David Daniell and Andrew Burnes
      --
recorded a CD with Loren MazzaCane Connors & Suzanne Langille
called "Let the Darkness Fall." Andrew is also a member of Loren &

      they
were recommended by Suzanne and Loren.

      3. BURNT FRIEDMANN / JAKI LIEBEZEIT-DUO (Duitsland)
Burnt Friedman (elektronica, samples), Jaki Liebezeit (percussie, elektronica)
23.00-24.00 uur SJU Jazzpodium, Varkenmarkt 2, Utrecht

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

quite simply an open gate to where the ear has not yet been subjected to
the pressure of prejudices, where it not only hears what it wants, but also
joyfully surrenders itself to the sounds without asking for their (cultural
      or commercial) credentials."
      (Konrad Boehmer)

      www.the-improvisor.com/New%20REVIEWS/Perlon.html

      2. STEAMBOAT SWITZERLAND (Zwitserland)
      Nicht!,
      zeventig-dimensie
krijgt, doordat men orgel-technisch freewheelt ergens tussen Keith Emerson,
"These 3 internationally respected and extraordinary Swiss musicians are
redefining the hammond organ trio, mixing rock, metal, noise,
power-electronica, free improv and the sounds and structures of new music.
Now this is fusion!...Steamboat Switzerland, the Swiss power-improv
hammond-trio sounds like Medeski, Martin and Wood on acid." (the Wire)

      3. BURNT FRIEDMANN/ JAKI LIEBEZEIT-DUO (Duitsland)
muziek is geheel computer-gegenereerd.
""Is it real ?" or "Is it jazz ?"
mean less as the use and meaning of sampling are explored further."Is it
good ?" is a more pertinent question. Yes, definitely." (the Wire)

Just like to pay tribute to the great man. I got into his amazing music
about a year ago and it subsequently inflamed my passion for music, which
had been waning. His music seemed to touch me more than most everything I
heard around, really emotional beautiful stuff. A great talent.

I'll second that...I've been touched by his music for about three years
      now...this has really saddened me.

I grew up listening to his music, my older brother plays acoustic guitar
and was learning his tunes. I met Fahey about 15 years ago, in the middle
of his "dark ages", he lived in Salem, Oregon, and would occasionally visit
the record store I worked at. It was quite a while before I learned that
the sweet, slightly confused older gentleman was actually the brilliant
guitarist. When I told him how much I appreciated his music, he mumbled
something polite and bowed out of the store, obviously embarrassed. I was
so glad when he started playing and recording again recently. A truly
      brilliant and original musician.
