• ### Input rpm caculation

I have a number of timing pulleys set up in 6:1 reduction stages for a final resolution of 7776:1 reduction. I would like to know what the input rpm would be to get an output of 1 turn every 134 seconds. My first thought is to divide 134 seconds by 60 seconds to get 2.23 and then divide the final of 7776 by 2.23 to get an input rpm of 3487. I am a total novice at this and am more...

• ### Torque and Pulley Ratio

I am starting out with a 20 tooth timing pulley going to a 120 tooth timing pulley and then adding another stage giving me a ratio of 36:1 total if I have this correct. What happens with the torque if I started out with 40 in-oz. would I end up with 1440 in-0z? I know it would not be 100 percent efficent. Mike Hoblinski

The rotor dose Az and EL and costs about 700 dollars. Inside the rotor each axis has a potentometer that is used to tell the electronics the position. I want to set up a small test jig with the Tamiya gear...

• ### Pulley 40 DP Vs MXL

I want to set up a Tamiya gear box with a pulley to turn a 10 turn potentometer. I am going to use a basic stamp with an A to D IC setup from this satellite tracking project http://sites.google.com/site/marklhammond/saebrtrack I am in the process of ordering some belts and pulleys and was looking at pulleys with a 40 DP and MXL pitch. I was wondering what applications each of these...
