Gene Starwind, a vigilant missionary with a cause of arms, is standing the post of bodyguard to Pirate Hilda with his mechanically-wise, whippy, blonde-haired sidekick, Jim. Hilda, meanwhile, has discovered, or rather, "acquired" the item she will need to perform a diabolical purpose upon the universe, but only by commanding a special ship of her interest. This ultimate flying vessel, once Jim and Gene escape with their lives after uncovering Hilda's evil desires, is later named "Starwind", in honor of our mighty young hero. Thus he begins his mission of seeking out Hilda and her forces, avoiding the Kitaar-Kitaar that present a constant threat, and all the while managing to remain smooth, charming and gentlemanly to every female passerby. Along with his talking ship and his array of alliances, enemies as well, the plot thickens, seatbelts are fastened, rockets are ignited, and the quest of a lifetime is bravely undertaken. A denied love between bio-android and human!
