- Sep 28, 2014I browse ComicBoodkDb regularly, and every few months, I check for new appearances of Howard, Jennifer, and Man-Thing. Jennifer hasn't been in anything since the final issue of Avengers Academy. Man-Thing is in Uncanny Avengers Annual #1, which I haven't seen yet. Howard is in a two-page Ty Templeton story in Original Sins #2. I read this in the store and was pretty offended. I did not want to plunk down $4 for it while I'm on public assistance. It was basically about how intelligent people who study liberal arts instead of science waste their lives. It's a slap in the face to Steve Gerber as much as it is to me. I read recently in an introduction to some golden age material that comic books are typically reflective of the most mainstream zeitgeist propaganda, and certainly that is true in the case of this story.Scott Andrew Hutchins
