- Jun 25, 2013There is a Man-Thing in Savage Wolverine #4. It can't possibly be Ted Sallis, because he's rooted in the ground in the Savage Land. He saves a mortally wounded Shanna the She-Devil by bathing her in a pool that connects her to the Savage Land. Supposedly, he also appears in Savage Wolverine #5, but I didn't see him when I glanced through the issue. He's actually on the cover of #4, but I didn't initially notice it because Wolverine himself is the only part of the cover in full color. His cover appearance is gigantic compared to his cover appearance on The Mighty Thor #316.The Man-Thing we know from Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers appears in Red She-Hulk 66 and 67, back in the swamp but still speaking the Universal Language. 67 is next month's issue, but the previous issue makes clear he is to be in it. If you're going to be super completist, the cover of Red She-Hulk #66, which includes Man-Thing appears in the back of #65. This is a little different from Man-Thing's unique appearance at the end of Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #9, which contributes nothing to the story but is drawn by the artist of said issue, in a style completely unlike the following issue.Scott Andrew Hutchins
