Placing the code in the voting makes your vote invisible to all but the administrators, but my top three were Gerber's The Man-Thing, Howard the Duck, and The Defenders, with The Son of Satan further down the list. I also gave props to Neil Gaiman (The Sandman), Rick Veitch (Swamp Thing), Alan Moore (Swamp Thing), David Anthony Kraft (The Savage She-Hulk), and John David Warner (The Son of Satan), and I forget what the other one was, but I'm kicking myself for omitting Grant Morrison, probably because I'm only halfway through Doom Patrol right now. I did finish Animal Man, but I know I didn't put it, although I probably should have, my other big regret being omitting Jamie Delano's Hellblazer.
From my understanding of the rules (minimum of 10 issues [serials moving to series count as if one run] unless canceled early, no mini-series--further details at link), the following Gerber runs are also eligible:
The Sub-Mariner, Daredevil, Hard Time, Void Indigo (due to premature cancellation), and The Sensational She-Hulk.
The following Gerber runs would be ineligible, as I interpret the rules:
Iron Man (3 issues), Tales of the Zombie (8 issues; canceled 2 issues after Steve left), Omega the Unknown (8 issues, canceled at a clear ending; never continued by Steve or Mary), The Living Mummy (2 issues), Doctor Fate (3 back-ups, and a much later miniseries), Morbius (6 issues [counting Vampire Tales #1, which gets a flashback in Fear #21], continued by Doug Moench), Lilith (5 issues, continued by Marv Wolfman), Captain America (5 issues), Guardians of the Galaxy (6 issues, not counting Defenders; continued by Roger Stern), Cloak and Dagger (3 issues), Marvel Two-in-One (9 issues), Shanna the She-Devil (2 issues), Hawkeye (5 issues), Freddy Krueger's a Nightmare on Elm Street (2 issues), Mister Miracle (3 issues and canceled, but Len Wein promised as the next issue's writer [he told me via Twitter that he doesn't remember if he ever wrote it]), Cybernary (4 issues + 5-issue miniseries), Code Name: Stryke Force (5 issues, continued in mini-series), and Destroyer Duck (5 of 7 issues).Scott Andrew Hutchins
