Subject: Eurimages celebrates its thousandth co-production with animated
      film "Nocturna"

      -----------------

Eurimages celebrates its thousandth co-production with animated film
      "Nocturna"

Strasbourg, 01.12.2004 - "Nocturna", by Victor Maldonado and Adrian Garcia,
is the thousandth co-production to get support from Eurimages, the Council
of Europe fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of
European cinematographic works. An animated film for children, "Nocturna" is
co-produced by Spain, France and Great Britain.

"I am particularly pleased that, the coincidence of being the 1,000th
co-production to be supported has put this film in the limelight," said
Eurimages President Jacques Toubon. "Eurimages is receiving more and more
requests to support animated films for which Europe is (re)discovering its
      talent and potential," he added.

"One thousand films in 15 years is no small achievement," said Mr Toubon.
"It is a determining factor for European cinema: without Eurimages many
films would never exist, although we constantly regret having to exclude
many others through lack of money," he concluded.
