You know, I feel the need to defend someone who would try to put myself in a
positive light. Do you believe a parent need not be utterly dedicated to the
upbringing of their child? Do you believe that letting another raise ones
own child is at all beneficial? How could you trust your childs moral codes
if you yourself have no clue what they are? This is not to say that unless
you infer your own codes into your child you cannot trust them, far from it,
however unless one takes an active role in the life of a being who loves them
utterly, then how can you dare call yourself a Thelemite?
Love is the law, love under will. A child loves his or her parents, if
the parents refuse to take an active stance back at them, it can only be
damaging and diminishing to that childs will.
