> Digital art is a buzz. I have four pieces in my little ouvre,
Eight to ten years ago, when most of those pieces were done, digital art was
still branching out in the basics and I was winning awards for trash like
that no matter how proud of them I might be as a self-taught computer nerd.
These days I would be way out of my league if I tried to go back into the
field and try to compete with all these kids that are growing up on
computers, like my own. I swear I am seeing ten year olds do complete 3D
animation fly-bys of the Sears Tower and I am still struggling with stupid
fake blood on parchment.
I am not a terrible graphic designer, but I am no artist and I am very out
of practice which is nothing but my own fault. And I just don't have the
"thirst and hunger" necessary to struggle anymore to catch up. I am too
comfortable in my life as it is ... being, that is, to eat and drink and all
without the struggle. ;-p

I like the eye you have done. I have to say that I could never do eyes. I
wish .. I do wish ...

Maybe, but I admit that 3D work just doesn't sit with me for some reason.
Maybe it's not being a "real" artist that does it. I just don't have the eye
for it, no pun intended.

I will get a more recent picture of him up there soon. He is adorable and
the last real creativity of my life. Nothing compares to his smile and
laughter, whether on canvas or in Photoshop.

Then I wouldn't be any fun.

He wouldn't either. ;-p
