Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
do as you please.
on 21 Nov 1995 two email lists dedicated to discussions
about Thelema (one owned by Shawn Knight combined with
one owned by Lillyth93/Xastur/Marianne Sarkis) began
hosting and archival at hollyfeld.org under the technical
direction and good graces of Daniel Garcia/kender. Shawn
saw fit to pass the role of administration over to Xastur,
and later, she passed that torch on to me, nigris (333)..
since then the list has grown and reduced, seen its fair
share of controversy, and played host to a goodly number
of heated disputes in esoteric as well as personal spats.
in 2000 legal pressure began repeatedly surfacing within
and outside the email list in an attempt to persuade both
subscribers and the technical and archival host to keep
certain sensitive documents and personal slanders out of
as the risk and the number of these cases expanded, Daniel's
risk increased also, and his ability to consistently
guarantee the integrity and non-injurious content of the
archive to the email list's subscribers and interested
parties was severely hampered. faced with the possibility
of unintended legal snarls, he decided that the list could
no longer be hosted at hollyfeld.
so it was that I created the t93-l egroups list, to which
we shall now be moving (the technical changes are now
underway). there should be no interruption of regular
exchanges now taking place. the old archives will be weeded
for data which must be remove to preserve legal security,
and the new archives will be under my direction.
for those of you unfamiliar with egroups, you may notice
a few changes as far as appended text to your post, and
the email address will change from thelema93-l@...
, but otherwise there should be
very little in the way of technical differences. egroups
offers much of what hollyfeld did, plus a few additional
features such as link-archiving, subscriber-based file
contributions, live chat and the facilitation of FAQ-access.
here's hoping for another 5 rollicking years of beastly
controversy, the discovery of internetworked kinship,
the fighting and the feud-patching of siblings.
if you have any questions about this largely technical
change, please email me PRIVATELY rather than to bother
the email list itself with such off-topic conversation.
thank you for your cooperation and I'm very sorry for
this temporary interruption. carry on.
free love right now.
Love is the law, love under will.
