I REPLIED, ASKING:
OTO aside, for although it is an organization that claims to be Thelemic, and
Crowley referred to it the first old aeon order to accept the Law of Thelema,
OTO certainly is not Thelema itself.
So, OTO aside, why would Thelema be an unwise choice for any intelligent,
I would conclude from your silence that you misspoke in haste when you wrote
the above, were it not for something you wrote over a year ago to this list:
I joined the OTO in 1987, I was little more than a boy
at that time, a refugee of my family's southern
Christian upbringing. When I joined the OTO, I regarded
Thelema as a vanguard philosophy, one that would, given
time, put an end to sexism, to bigotry, and lead to the
freedom of sexuality and love, not to mention religion.
What I eventually experienced was something more akin
to some Byzantine ecclesiastical group in which
corruption, favoritism, abuse and collusion were the
order of the day.
It concerns me that you seem not to know the difference between Thelema and
OTO. Yet, I have seen your 'NOT' website, and you continue to sign off on
posts: "Thelema, T."
'Sup with that?
