I, for one, welcome the 'opportunity' that he set for us. It might even
ultimately bring us to dismiss yet another series of irrelevant distractions from
our individual purposes and goals in life.

You really believe that ALL of the dying-god systems are semetic? Lol. Christianity is as much Greek as it is Jewish - even the name "Jesus" is partially derived (by one theory) from Zeus - specifically a form of Zeus called The Saviour, whom many helenized Jews identified with the God of Abraham (the Judaen Zeus - or Ju-Zeus). But lets look more closely at the Jewish aspect of Christianity, shall we? The particular strain of Judaism which had the most influence was the one which believed in an apocalypse, in a God of Light and Justice opposed to a God of Darkness and deception (the Pharasees being the most influential group in this camp). In other words, Zoroastrianism, imported from Persia after the Babylonian captivity, and slathered with a thick layer of Jewish myth. And the Persians/Iranians are not semites - they are considered "indo-european."
I must also wonder: Did the Aeon of Osiris never occur in the East? Or have semitic people been secretly controlling the worlds' religions for the past 2 millenia or so?
In Liber AL many religions are referenced and disparaged in some form. ONLY the Jews are brought up as a specific group without getting trashed.
Most of those things about mainstream Christianity which are despicable cannot be traced back to Judaism. Original Sin is a Christian invention. The dualism which gave us a Satan to blame and fear, while coming to us through Judaism (one branch of it) is traceable to Iran - to an indo-european source. I have heard of no pre-Christian form of Judaism which believes that this world is "fallen" or that the body should be despised - though later sects undoubtable adopted Christian ideas into them, just as earlier sects adopted Greek and Persian ideas - and Babylonian for that matter. Check out Isaahs' mystical-shamanic vision of God (or Metatron, depending on your interpretion) on the banks of the Euphraetes - it is a perfect description of Marduk, the God of the people who had taken them captive (the Babylonians, again, are considered indo-european). That the God of Abraham should then later come to resemble the God of the people who would set them free should be
Religious systems, like race, only appear distinct if you look at them over a short span of time. A broader perspective shows the transitory impermanence of these distinctions. The modern Jew - or any other group you pick - is not the same as the ancient one, either racially, mythically, or philosophically, because these distinctions exist in the mind - not in reality. "The people" are a myth. Race is real - but only in our culture, not our biology. Race is our creation, not Natures'.
