I have indeed noticed a direct parallel between L. Ron Hubbards
Auditing or Thought Processing and that of Thelemic Meditation. It
seems very simple in some aspects yet the complications are not as
evident as they may first seem. It is as thus.
In Scientology processing two individuals (in terms of Thelemic
correspondence) sit as "Twin Gods" facing, in "God" asana positions.
One is termed as the "Auditor" which corresponds to the Hermit, the
other the "preclear" which corresponds to a Man of the Earth (6 and
5 0. 2=0); the two reflect as the "lovers", as it is "affinity"
(another term for lust; attraction) which is the key to effective
communication and processing. (ARC Triangle).
The correspondences are as thus.
Asana 1. Open Communication.(11.) Close Communication.
Pranayama 2. Close Eyes. 10. Open Eyes.
Yama/Niyama 3. Install Canceller. 9. Canceller. (Control)
Pratyhara 4. Time Track Return. 8. Present time.
Dharana 5. (File Clerk) Data. 7. Close Data Recall.
Dhyana 6a. Release (repeat). 6b. Similar Incidents.
Samadhi (Samadhi: Clear)
*1-6a are toward the stage of "Dhyana" and 6b-(11) are the return
from "Dhyana", hence L. Ron Hubbards "Dianetics" (Dhyanetics). It
seems there is a stage beyond 6a and 6b that is termed as "Clear"
which is also the goal of Thelemic Meditation, Samadhi. Thisharb can
be processed in repition on 6a to increase the effectivness of
processing if so desired. This "processing" is quite simple, in
otherwords you observe a past memory (4), Pull additional data of
the memory (5) ... asking self what is seen, heard, felt... then in
repeating the memory ask what else* is seen, heard, felt... etc.
then simply repeat the memory (6a) until one is "happy" about it, as
this is simply the goal, and it is "exstacy" felt that is the sign
of completion of this stage. Next, run a similar incident (6b) the
same way in so repeating until one is "happy" about it, then close
data recall (7) returning to "present time" in closing... etc. The
feeling felt in successful processing is not actually one of
being "happy" per se, but more so the sign of success is a lesser
degree of "exstacy", and in this, processing can become quite
addictive and one may pay alot of money for such an experience.
Proof of this, of what is revealed in processing, is simply observed
that the memory properly processed will not "fade" with time, it
will remain as if just seen through the glass of the eye. Basically
Scientology is just Magick without tears, but this is only because
they use but half the equation. As Thelema is to Nuit, Scientology
it seems, is to Hadit (Thetan); though (XI) NU or "Xinu" remains in
Hubbards writings as the "Hidden God of Scientology", which is only
spoken of in its highest (OT) materials... or so that it seems.
