Re: [The Justice Society] To Infinity And Beyond!
- Artwise, all three titles are impeccable. Even the most plain
artstyle in any of the books now I have seen will simply be
reminescent of the forties, which I greatly appreciate; well, in the
case of All Stars and Young All sTars. I guess forties art wouldn't
suit the then-present day Infinity, altho it could work just as well
But of all the books, the art never failed. If plot or dialogue is as
heart-breaking as these books were, then I can hardly criticize the
A big puzzler is Roy's need to only have six characters. He cut out
the reliable anchors in INfinity; Power Girl, Huntress and Star
Spangled Kid (who should have been as crucial as Cap in the Avengers)
and Brainwave Jr (not the grandest character, but why put him there
to begin with if he isn't going to stay?).
This would have been the same had the New Teen Titans cut out Wonder
Girl, Kid Flash and Robin around ish ten, and just stuck with Cyborg,
Raven and Starfire, plus Changeling.
Which I suppose is pretty much what the cartoon has done anyway,
which is why I don't watch the cartoon.
But I honestly think YOung All STars would have worked had that
quartet from #22 hung around and perhaps even become members,
especially the Russian, the Jap and the Frenchie.
The Frenchman even looked too much like Nightcrawler from the Xmen,
but he would have worked tremendously.
They were more developed in that brief appearance than Flying Fox or
Neptune Perkins became in the entire book.
and after Tom baker left Doctor Who, he would be followed by peter
Davison, Colin Baker (no relation) and Sylvester McCoy would be the
last actor to portray the Doctor on the tv show.
An attempt to re-introduce Doctor Who in a tv movie on Fox would be
made, with Eric Roberts as the regenerated Master (he stole the body
of an ambulance driver) and Sylvester McCoy would appear and would be
injured so he could change into Paul McGann.
McGann wasn't bad in my opinion. All the Doctors take some intense
