Best wishes to everybody for 2018.

And here's hoping that (sometime) this year DC will finally bring back a Justice Society that resembles the one we know and once enjoyed (and that some of us still desperately miss).

Has everybody given up on DC possibly bringing back something closer to the pre-New52 JSA sometime in (later) 2018?

My guess is we are at least a year away from seeing the JSA or the Legion of Super Heroes

I wouldn t hold out much hope.  All DC s energies seem to be devoted to Doomsday Clock, their ill-advised attempt to embed the Watchmen in the DC Multiverse.

But some are thinking Dumbsday Cluck will be the "event" that could lead to a return/pseudo-restoration of the JSA to the DC Universe.

If/when/how that may happen, we'll have to see.

Also have to see how much of the 1999-2011 JSA/Justice Society of America members would be part of that since in DC Universe Rebirth, DC/Johns sort of made it seem that the JSA's disappearance could date back to that 1950's HUAC hearing that was retconned (back in the1970s) as the reason for the end of their "Golden Age" adventures in the early 1950s.

Issue #6 of Doomsday Cluck is due out on July 25th; only six more issues (12 months?) left after that! And, in issue #5 (which, again, I didn t actually read),

And, in issue #5 (which, again, I didn't actually read), old Johnny Thunder has apparently found Alan Scott's green lantern abandoned in a building?

Still waiting to see if/when/how the JSA may (or may not) return in this series; also don't know if/when/how any mention of Hawkman's past with the JSA may come about in his new series (which is up to issue #2, though I'm maybe tpb waiting before I get that).)

And it seems Doctor Fate is being used in the new Justice League Dark, but don't know if any mention/connection with Kent Nelson previously belonging to the JSA gets mentioned.

And the worst part of all this waiting is we don't know what version of a "JSA" may eventually show up if/when all is eventually said and done!

                  (But I still keep hoping . . . )

As to issue #10, it's currently due out April 17, 2019, but they've been bumping that day out a week every week or so since the start of the month.

Well, remember, the JSA were apparently erased from existence (or at least memory) prior to this. Who knows if the book is actually going to change things

Well, remember, the JSA were apparently erased from existence (or at least memory) prior to this. Who knows if the book is actually going to "change things this far in the past" and whether any such changes would be temporary or permanent. And that one cover is a variant cover, so who knows if that's actually happening or just symbolic.

(As I've said previously, I'm not reading this overly-delayed mess at present. Not sure if I may eventually get a collected edition or not in the future. All may depend on what Geoff Johns does with/to the JSA in the very end and whether I even still give a damn at that point in time.)
