LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - John Cusack (news), Monica
Bellucci (news) and Billy Bob Thornton (news) will star in "Ice
Harvest," a comedic thriller to be directed by Harold Ramis (news).
Set in a snowbound town on Christmas Eve, the Focus Features project
centers on a not-so-bright lawyer (Cusack) who is about to embezzle
money from his mob superiors. Bellucci plays an owner of a strip bar
who is in cahoots with Thornton's character, who is using the lawyer
to swindle the mob and plans to double-cross him.
The production, which sources put in the $10 million range, is due to
begin filming in Cusack's Chicago hometown in April.
Cusack most recently starred in "Runaway Jury" and "Identity." Other
credits include "High Fidelity" and "Being John Malkovich (news)."
Italian actress Bellucci next appears in Mel Gibson (news)'s
Wednesday release "The Passion of the Christ," in which she plays
Mary Magdalene. Thornton most recently starred in "Bad Santa," for
which he received a Golden Globe nomination.
Ramis' recent directing credits include the hit 1999 comedy "Analyze
This" and its less successful 2002 sequel "Analyze That." In between,
he directed 2000's "Bedazzled."
