- How many remember the July 3rd 1957 shutdown of passenger service, that occurred 55 years ago today. It is nice that IRM lets us relive the days of old with their collection of CA&E cars.
- The Harold Washington main library in Chicago has a few publications with certain drawings of some CTA buses. One of these publications has drawings of trackless trolleys that the CERA publications did not have. The publications are for reference only and not available for check-out. I made copies of these buses the last time I was there but I can't find them right now. From: colinchisholm <cgchisholm@...>

CERA published two books on the Chicago Transit Authority with plans. Most Transit Systems have some type of drawing of their equipment that have the dimensionseven if the accuracy is sometimes poor.Chuck ChisholmOn Jul 12, 2012, at 10:47 PM, Damin Keenan wrote:Hi Everyone,
Sorry for going off-topic, but I going to assume that some of you have
interests that go beyond just the CA&E into Chicago transit in general.
I'm interested in modelling CTA trains and buses, and was wondering if
there was any published material that would contain scale drawings or
dimensions of CTA equipment.
