      Mmmm...The Bush regime's politicization of government services is
      infamous, but sometimes they're just plain incompetent. Sometimes
      that's incompetent on purpose; it's socialistic and sinful to rely on
      the government for anything, especially if you live in a generally
      blue area like metro New Orleans or southern California. It's your
      fault for choosing to live in a (Democratic-leaning) hurricane or
      wildfire zone, but you're okay if you live in a tornado-prone or
      hurricane-prone area that leans Republican, and you'll get the best if
      Bush wants your vote. As for toys, read the damn labels and leave
      business alone.

      I doubt anything serious will be done to address the problem of
      dangerous imported goods until after the 2008 elections at least. I
      mean, the Democrats in Congress may try, but the congressional
      Republicans and Bush will block it, the seriousness of the problem be
      damned.
