Group Description

The English Workshop is a community of language teachers in Veneuela, moderated by Doris Molero. We explore teaching practices, engage with students in virtual classes, collaborate on projects, and participate in conferences as audience and presenters. Would you like to be one of us?
Teachers will be:

· disscusing how to use various synchronous and asynchronous web tools for learning and teaching EFL/ESL,
· reflecting on ways of applying those tools to our teaching, either online or face to face.
· interacting through e-mail, text chat, voice chat, voice e-mail, forums and distribution lists, among others.

Join us to learn and practice how to teach English using web tools, meet people and have fun.

Are you ready to start? Well, here there are some simple tasks to help get to know one another:

1. Write a short introduction/blurb about yourself with the following information:

a. your first and last name. You can include the name you would like to be called,
b. Yahoo ID,
c. institution where you work or study,
d. what you do,
e. why you joined this group and the expectations you have,
f. any additional info you would like to share with the group.

2. "SEND" it to the Yahoo Group list(theenglishworkshop@yahoogroups.com) OR click on "POST" on the left menu bar of our YG home page and send it from there;

3. Post a small photo to the "Photos" section of our Yahoo Group.
This is an optional step, but we would love to get to know the faces of our participants. To post your pic, once you get to the "PHOTOS" section, click on "Add Photo" and then you can upload your picture.

Welcome!!!
