Group Description

Hello and welcome to the Civil War Lady's Parlor. This is an e-list for the Civil War Lady Reenactor or Living Historian, for ladies who wish to study and portray the "real" 19th Century woman, as she really was. - We can all learn by listening and sharing with one another. This is a place to ask questions and share your knowledge and points of view on anything and everything concerning the Civil War era lady. Here, you can talk about all things related to the reenactment of the Civil War Lady. Topics will include all aspects of Civil War history, period issues, Civil War fashions, etiquette, home life, recipes, sewing help or advice, troubles and triumphs, through modern issues that effect the reenactor and living historian, Topics of this list are not restricted to strictly "historical content" but will allow the group to interact and exchange ideas, and request help. Some days are more chatty than others, some days are quiet.

You may use the calendar to add events. You are allowed to add photos to the photo albums. We hope you enjoy your time here.

In light of what is happening on other forums i.e. posts that are nothing but spam and so forth, not only is our membership restricted but new members who post will need to have their messages approved before we will let it go to the group. We are sorry if this is an inconvenience but we do not want to have our members who receive emails and daily digest to receive junk.

God bless you! It is my hope you enjoy your time here.
