      Hey guys-
       BABO is an awesome comp that Roger and the Draught Board homebrew club host every year.
       Roger needs some help getting things together for the Alameda county fair homebrew comp.
       If you can make it by drop off locations, help recieve and process entries, or even help steward or judge homebrew, let us know. This can be some good experience and a chance to talk and hang with some local homebrew celebrities!
       Any help is greatly appereciated and as with most other things in the homebrew world, The majority of the work is done by a few people... Be one of them!
       Please let me or Roger know if you would like to help out in any way!  Thanks.


      It's BABO time again so I'm looking for volunteers to assist with receiving.

      We will be receiving Saturday April 27.

      Thank you Mary, Charlie and Don for volunteering to transport entries from some drop off locations.

      • I still need assistance to collect from the following four drop-off locations:

        1. More Beer Concord
        2. Oak Barrel (Berkeley)
        3. Beer and Wine Makers (San Jose)
        4. Good Brewer (Livermore)

        This entails going to the drop-off location, preferably Saturday morning (April 27), to collect all BABO entries and transport them to the Jockey Club at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds.

      • I also need help processing the entries at the fairgrounds (on April 27).

        This entails scanning the entry and placing peel-&-stick printed cap labels on the bottles.

        Thank you for volunteering Mary.

        I'd like another 5 volunteers to receive & process entries.

      • We also need assistance in the cellar.

        This activity entails sorting and collating bottles into categories and flights.
        Thank you Paul Goularte and Rob McNamee for volunteering.

        I need at least one more volunteer to assist in the cellar.

        - You'd be expected to show up by 11:00am. 
          We will likely be processing entries until 4 or 5 PM.

      • ALSO, we will need beer to serve to judges and stewards during lunch after final judging May 11.  Please plan on bringing homebrew.  Kegged, bottled, growler are all acceptable.

      Please remember we will need judges and stewards for preliminary and final judging.
      Watch for 'call for judges/stewards e-mails'.
