      Hello all,

I am writing you today to announce the First Annual "Bridging the Gap" Pro-Am Homebrew Comp!  This is a new competition that is being put on by the Greenbelt Brewers Association and Elk Grove Brewers Guild, and hosted by Berryessa Brewing Co in Winters, CA.

We are wanting to reach out to you as representatives of your respective clubs and hope that you can forward this information to your members:

This competition will be hosted at Berryessa Brewing Co on Saturday, April 13th.  The winner of Best of Show (BOS) will get to brew their beer with Chris Miller, brewmaster & owner of Berryessa, and have that beer submitted at this year's GABF (Great American Beer Fest) in Denver as Berryessa's Pro-Am beer.

The competition will be open to most, but not every, BJCP style; you can find out the styles on the registration website (below).

The competition will be open to 200 entries (first come, first served) and the registration (and bottle acceptance) will be from March 1st through March 31st.

Registration, rules, and additional information can be found here:  http://www.greenbeltbrewers.org/competition/

Please note that we will need judges and stewards!!  This is a BJCP sanctioned event and judges and staff will be awarded points.  Plus, judges and staff will get sandwiches provided by Preserve in Winters.

I have attached a flyer for your convenience; please feel free to forward it on, or print and paste around town!

Any questions can be addressed to bridging.the.gap.comp@...

Thanks and look forward to a fun comp!!
