I'm currently involved in the forthcoming edition of 4 Maccabees for
the Göttingen Septuaginta Series and have been working through a 10/11
century manuscript with many interlinear and marginal corrections.
What sets this manuscript apart from the others for 4 Maccabees are
the numerous readings from the corrector marked with the Greek word
abbreviation for γραφεται (γρ). There are two readings that,
in addition to γρ, have additional sigla or word abbreviations. I
have yet to discover what these sigla mean or their significance. If
anyone is able to shed some light on the meaning of the additional
sigla (in the attached image) or the significance of marking words as
γρ, your help would be greatly appreciated.
