      Hello!

Has there been any progress in identifying and locating MS GA 2325?

      H. C. Hoskier says (Vol. 1, p. 663) about Apoc. 202, which he collated, "Not in Gregory.  Dobschutz now numbers it 2323.  This other MS. from Meteora numbered 237..."  The Kurzgefasste Liste says in the back of the book that Meteora 237 is in Meteora, Metamorphosis, and it calls it GA number 2325.  However, in the main section of the book, it says of 2325, "?    ?    ?     ?" for content, date, everything, and for location it says, "New York?"

      J. K. Elliott's Bibliography of Greek New Testament Manuscripts says of 2325, that it is mentioned in "Clark, USA, p. 376"  and, "cf. 2053"  I don't know what this "cf. 2053" means, but it surely cannot be talking about the text type of Apoc. 202, because its text is much more Complutensian than 2053.

I have examined images of GA 2323 from csntm.org, and it definitely is not Hoskier's Apoc. 202 / Dobschutz 2323.  I determined this by comparing what Hoskier says were 4 mis-spelled / miss-written readings of Apoc. 202.

      Thus, questions I ask are:

Did Hoskier collate GA 2323?  The answer is No.
Did Hoskier collate GA2325?  The answer is Unknown, since GA 2325 is uncertain in identity and location.  If GA 2325 is the same as Apoc. 202, then answer is yes.  But this is doubtful.
