Someone should make a list of all the NTTC resources that can be downloaded from Google Books and www.Archive.org . Just this past week I found a few interesting books by John Gwynn:

      (1) "Remnants of the Later Syriac Versions" which features Syriac texts (and their reconstructed Greek base-texts) of the Philoxenian Version of Second Peter, II John, III John, Jude, and the Pericope Adulterae. Very detailed.

      (2) "The Apocalypse of John in a Syriac Version." Delves into many variants and their implications, including the "bloody eagle" variant.

      (3) "Transactions of the Royal Irish Academy, Vol. 27, VIII: On a Syriac Ms. Belonging to the Collection of Archbishop Ussher" which contains, among other things, some information about the Syriac transmission of the PA.

Gwynn is not commonly cited nowadays, but he seems to have been a Mycroft Holmes of NTTC, specializing in Syriac studies in the late 1800's.

      Yours in Christ,

      James Snapp, Jr.
