Could someone provide any information on codex Montfortianus, other than it was used in 1 John 5:4? Thank you, Byron Silvera

... A quick internet search on Montfortianus gives some nice results. One could also look at http://www.skypoint.com/~waltzmn/Manuscripts1-500.html#m61. I

A quick internet search on "Montfortianus" gives some nice results. One
        could also look at
        http://www.skypoint.com/~waltzmn/Manuscripts1-500.html#m61. I take it that
        you mean 1 John 5:7-8.

Additionally to what s been said on Bob Waltz page, one could add that MS 61 supports the Caesarean reading in Mk 8:26 hUPAGE EIS TON OIKON SOU KAI EAN

Additionally to what's been said on Bob Waltz' page, one could add that
MS 61 supports the "Caesarean" reading in Mk 8:26

hUPAGE EIS TON OIKON SOU KAI EAN EISELQHS EIS THN KWMHN MHDENI MHDE
          EIPHS EN TH KWMH

According to Text&Textwert MS 56 simply reads Byz in this passage.
Gregory thinks that 56 and 61 are "relatives".
Otherwise nothing thrilling in the Gospels (according to Text&Textwert
MS 61 is about 90% Byz in the Synoptic Gospels).

Gregory mentions that the MS belonged to Francis Roy first and Gregory
thinks it is possible that he also wrote it. Compare also Rendel Harris
"The origin of the Leicester codex of the NT", London 1887.

          Best wishes
          Wieland
