Randy, points are awarded in State series based on wins for each event. You
must ride a min. number of events to qualify and I think you get to toss your
worst score if you are above the min number.
The number of required events can vary per class, so ask one of the oldtimers
for how many you need to ride. Good luck.
PS GAS GAS should offer special points & prizes to the rider who can complete
more that two events without leaking fork seals on their bikes. heheheh!

Randy, points are awarded as follows: 30 points for a first place, 25 for
second, 21 for third, 18 for fourth,16 for fifth, 15 for sixth, 14 for
        seventh, 13 for eighth, 12 for 9th, 11 for tenth, 10 for 11th, 9 for twelth
etc. The ' 99 Series will be a best 5 of 9 for Cadets, Rookie, Vintage, and
Women. the Novice, Amateur, Senior AM, Veteran, and all Afternoon Classes will
be a best 7 of 9. Three rounds to qualify are needed in C,R,V,and W
while four rounds are needed in all other classes. Out of State riders ride
for the trophy of the day but their places are deleted for Series points and
all Texas riders move up . So if you finished third in an event with 2
Oklahoma riders in 2nd and 1st, you would receive first place points for the
Series. Those riders who do not ride enough rounds to qualify are also dropped
from Series contention and all other riders in the Class move up. I hope that
        this will be of
        help. Tom Batchelor
