      Dear TMG members,

Yesterday, after closing in May, Sharyk Club in Kazan opened its new
season. About 80 people came to the event.

Except Kazan students, journalists of www.intertat.ru, and journalists
from "Tatarstan - New Century" TV company, there were 15 Finland Tatar
youth with one Tatar from Sweden, almost ten representatives of Moscow
Tatar youth, including www.mtss.ru, the founder of
      www.tatar-history.narod.ru Ainur Sibgatullin, people representing
Tatar youth of Ufa, Omsk, Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod... and other parts of
Russia. Also there was a Japaneese student Norihiro who studies Tatar.

The meeting was extremily interesting, as usual! It was headed by Amil
Nur - journalist of Intertat.ru and Rafis Jemdikhan - a journalist of
      www.azatliq.org / www.rferl.org .

After everyone introduced themselves there was a concert organized.
Kazan girls sang Tatar songs. Finland Tatars also sang Tatar songs
from Tatarstan and Finland as well. They also told the audience about
the history of Finland Tatars. During the whole evening from 6 to 10
pm youth was talking, making new friendships, singing songs, drinking
tea with yummy biscuits and cakes.

The meeting in Sharyk Club was started with everyone singing "Tugan
Tel" - the anthem of the club and was closed by "Tugan Tel" song as
      well.

Then from 10 pm to deep night everyone went to the "Irek maidene"
(Liberty Square) and had a lot of fun by playing different folk games,
      dancing and singing.

Sharyk Club is opened every Saturday from 6 pm till sunrise. Everyone
      is welcomed.
The address is 41 Karl Marks street (building of Tatar Public Center).

For those who don't know - Sharyk club was first opened in the
beginning of 20th century (1907) in the building in front of present
Tatar Kamal Theatre. Then, after the revolution of 1917, for a long
time it was closed. And 1997 it was reopened by initiative of active
youth (Ramai Yuldasev, Rafis Jemdikhan, Amil Nur, Landish Harras,
Aisilu Galieva, Dilara Maksutova and Zulfiya Maksutova -
(www.kerpe.narod.ru). The meetings were once a month. But from 2000,
Amil Nur decided to held the club weekly. Every time it has
different topics and during late spring - early autumn Sharyk Club
goes to Bulgar, Bilyar, Elabuga, Iske Kazan, Ak Kosh kul and many
      other beautiful places of Tatarstan.
