      Xalif Korbatov proposed to change ş letters of the new (and awkward alphabet) and Fuat Ganiev proposed to change orphography rules in the meeting of the Sciences Academy commission. But commission did not change anything.
      ========
      I remember one fellow who signed as Academician Kurbatov and sent me back my proposals, saying for many things that they are "Turkish". It might be him, though i don't now.

      In short, the alphabet is making its way. Next generation will have to pass the changes that todays "illtellectuals" are not willing (or allowed) to pass.
