      Ayder Seitosmanov, Executive Director of the Crimean Tatar Initiative
      (Simferopol, Crimea) and Vice-President of the International Committee
      for Crimea, is currently visiting in Washington, D.C. He was invited to
      present a paper at a conference arranged by the International Library
      Information and Analytical Center (ILIAC), a US-based, non-profit
      organization devoted to the development of educational, scientific,
      cultural, and business cooperation between Russia and CIS countries,
      and the United States and other countries. The theme of the conference
      was "Russian and CIS Electronic Resources: Full Current Survey and
      Forecast for Future," and it was held in Washington, D.C., March 11-12,
      1999.

      Mr. Seitosmanov's presentation included a live demonstration of SOTA's
      Crimean Tatar Web site. The following is the text of his paper:
