- I don't know much about it, but Brozozow is a small village in the south-east corner of Poland, in the Rzeszow-Przemsyl area. I would suggest that the reason your uncle has Austria on his certificate is because he was born before Nov. 1918, when that part of Poland was under Austrian control.....part of the Austro-Hungarian empire.
