5/7/2007 - Harry P. Sysol Sr. of Hoyt Street, Dunkirk, N.Y., died Saturday, May 5, 2007 at his residence.
He was 81 years of age, born in Dunkirk on April 28, 1926, the son of the late Frank & Antoinette (Kwiej) Sysol. A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mr. Sysol was a retired crane operator at Allegheny Ludlum. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Ann Seton Church, the Kosciuszko Polish Home & the Polish Literary & Assembly Rooms.
Surviving are his children: Harry P. Sysol, Jr., Patti Sysol both of Dunkirk, Frank Sysol of Portland, NY, Mary Jane Tomkiewicz of North Carolina & Cynthia Sysol of Dunkirk. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sophie (Levandowski) Sysol who died June 14, 1993, 5 brothers, Adam, Chester, Henry, Rudolph & Casimer Sysol, and his sister, Lena Kessner.
Funeral services will be held at a time & date to be announced. Friends may call at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc. from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Tuesday.
