We are ready to kickstart our 2011 Business Intelligence User Group meeting with a bang this upcoming Monday, February 7th. Microsoft Senior Premier Field Engineer and MCM, Brian Mitchell, will do an extended presentation and live demo of SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse. We will be one of the first audiences to watch a live demo of Microsoft's highly scalable apliance for enterprise datawarehousing along with real world performance numbers gathered by Brian Mitchell and his team on the field. It is quite honestly both an honor and a privilege to have Brian share his personal experience and expertise with this product.

Brian did a 1 hour intro session on SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse for our SQL Saturday #62 event on January 15th, 2011. He will be able to extend his intro presentation with a live demo during our meeting to 1.5 hours. If  the audience agrees and interest grows, we may extend it to a full 2 hour. I promise it will be of great interest and I encourage you to attend and bring your coworkers, supervisor, IT Director and even your CIO to have an opportunity to see first hand the capabilities of Microsoft's SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse and how it can benefit your organization. This is not intended as a sales pitch, but rather as a very informative presentation that will definitely bring you up to speed with Microsoft's "Massively Parallel Processing" (MPP)  architecture to deliver the high performance and scalability on SQL Server 2008 R2, Windows Server® 2008 and industry-standard hardware. You can read more about SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse at http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2008/en/us/parallel-data-warehouse.aspx.

We will also broadcast and record this session through Live Meeting. Although we encourage you to attend physically if you live in the Tampa Bay area, you may also attend this session from home or work following these steps:
