When I spoke with Taig about the leadscrew they said it was not going to have change gears just a power feed option. ________________________________ From:

Eeven if Taig does not provide change gears, I am sure there will be an easy way to make a bracket and use change gears from import lathes, etc. This sounds a great update on the Taig.

The machine was siting there running when we walked up to it, so I assumed they leave it running to see if anything is going to break. No change gear was evident but a step pulley was driving the leadscrew. I have no way of knowing if what I saw was the final version or simply the prototype they were basing the production model on. The leadscrew appeared to be fairly large diameter 3/8 - 1/2 inch diameter. I hesitate to report in detail what I saw as I am not a spokesperson nor qualified to explain the inner workings of how the machine is built. I would like to get my hands on one though!
