Goulder criticizes "soft-line" synoptic theories (including the Three
Source Hypothesis) for being "unfalsifiable and so not useful" -- in his
article "Is Q a Juggernaut?" (page 675). In his "Luke: A New Paradigm"
he writes similarly that "the soft-line alternatives are such that we
can neither know that they are true, nor find out if they are false"
      (page 24).

Does anyone know, please, of anything Goulder has written in which he
explains in what way the theory which he advocates, the Farrer
Hypothesis, is not unfalsifiable (on his understanding of
      unfalsifiability)?

      Best wishes,
      BRIAN WILSON
