male singers wanted for ROCKTAPUS! - comedy rock choir
- Hi all,
ROCKTAPUS! are rehearsing a show as part of this year's Sydney Fringe Festival and we're looking for men who sing; namely tenors, baritones & funky basses.
Must be a rock (or alternative) music fan who can sing with rock star attitude.
Must be able to solo confidently, but also hold back & join the rest of the 'choir' when not soloing.
Tenor should be able to sing Bon Jovi's 'living on a prayer', including the key change, in your best Bon Jovi rock voice!
Can commit to weekly Sunday afternoon rehearsals 4.30pm-7pm in Leichhardt.
If you have an ability to rock-out, a more than generous dose of humour, try out!
What is ROCKTAPUS!
ROCKTAPUS! is a comedy/performance a cappella rock group that do arrangements of rock songs (Queen, Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, ACDC, etc). You don't need to be the greatest singer but you do need a good voice, performance experience, stage presence and a bit of rock-star-showing-off-ness.
Note that Rocktapus! is more of a rock group than a choir that does rock songs [shudder], so you must be a rock fan. Also note that this is not a 'send up' choir. We don't wear spandex, unless were vacuuming.
