      The seminar covers the opportunities and challenges for today's women, importance of Asset Allocation and some strategies for success including Advanced Investing techniques that any women can use to take care of her financial future.

      A fact you need to face: women are 3 times more likely to outlive men. It is important to guard your livelihood. Come and learn how to take control of your financial future and live a long and beautiful life.

      About the speaker:

      Ripple Leung has a diverse background in the financial industries. She earned her investment education through working with a principal of New York Stock Exchange and Chicago Board of Options Exchange in Asia. She traveled around the world and met many wealth experts through the investment education organization in Asia.
      She continued her experience and acquired her licenses and training at Morgan Stanley in the US . She has conducted Financial Seminars at IBM, and major medical centers in Fremont . She is a founder and committee member at Fremont Asian Lions Club.

      About K. Y. Zeng
      The artist reflects on astrophysics, quantum physics, human genetics and the I Ching in nineteen Oil on Canvas paintings, which range from the use of ancient Chinese calligraphy to large, multi-canvas works fusing human genetics and cosmology. Her work seeks to highlight universal territory by expressing ideas shared by different scientific and philosophical disciplines.

      Dear Silicon Valley Women and Book Club Friends,

      We are pleased  to invite Jack Quian (少君) to our 53rd gathering. Jack Quian is a prominent Chinese author whose work has enjoyed success on  the internet as well as  in print. For more information about Jack Quian, please check http://wenxinshe.landaishu.com/home/news_read.asp?NewsID=18228.

      Dr. Quian will share his travel adventures as a writer. Traveling gives him a broader worldview and a grander perspective; in return he wrote many books to illustrate the beauties and wonders of the places he visited.

      Jack Quian will also talk about his experiences in publishing, including writing, editing, printing, promoting, marketing and distributing a book. This topic will be very helpful for some friends who have advanced to professional writing stage. For the rest of us, it will extend our vision beyond where we are and provide us with the secrets of success.

      少君: “写作是很私人的行为,但出版则要面对市场。这之间的矛盾如何解决?我以自己出书的经历,介绍国内出版社从选题、策划到编辑、行销的内幕,以及海外作者如何将自己的心血之作进入公众的视野。”

      陳瑞琳: “人們總是記得他來自北京大學理科的出身、《經濟日報》的記者、美國德州大學的博士生、匹茲堡大學的研究員、高科技公司的老板等諸多立體交叉的形像。少君毅然地揮別了摩天樓群的工業重鎮達拉斯,宣布在商海紅塵中急流勇退, 1999年底退休至今。著有《未名湖》、《人生自白》,《閱讀成都 -在城市間行走》 等五十余种书。”

      田新彬: “最近,少君又躋身大陸當紅「旅遊作家」之列。緣起不久前,他被成都市政府選為發展觀光的代言作家,單是二○○六 年,他就交出了《美女與熊貓》、《印象成都》、《食色錦里》、《天府成都》四本介紹成都的旅遊書。最奇特的是這位在中國出生、成長的作家居然還同時出版了 一本《台北素描》(成都時代出版社),是感性的台北記遊散文加上實用的景點介紹結合而成。”
