- I have read the other responses and I can not say I completely
disagree, but it seems so many SVG supporters forget that graphics
means "look" so I'll point you in the right direction ;)

give a good example of what their product can do, for that look at:
But be aware that this level of image comes at a price as pointed out
in this article:
basically getting into complex images will create unbalanced size for
the buck. but if you want to animate or scale a complex vector
graphic then you still need a good converter. I am eager to compare
file sizes of animating a complex vector image in flash and doing the
same in svg....
