      I could not view any other files. I wasn't allowed to browse to a local (my
      machine) SVG, nor could I type in a URL:
      "access denied (java.net.SocketPermission www.schepers.cc resolve"

      I also couldn't save the SVG to my HD. However, the install went pretty
      smoothly. ZoneAlarm fussed, but that's the way I like it. Maybe there's some
      permissions file I need to have on my server?

      Dave, had you had Batik installed before? I'm curious how long it takes for
      a fresh intstall.
